A molecular device for photosynthesis

Molecular sensitized mesoporous electrodes are used to convert sunlight to electricity, fuels and chemicals.

Converting sunlight to electricity, fuels and chemicals is an important strategy to utilize the solar energy. Molecular devices with photosensitizer or/and catalyst decorated semiconductor as photoelectrodes can be used to perform such solar energy conversion. Our group is mainly working on preparation, development and study of new photoelectrodes. The research projects in our group cover:
